Music
Music is at the heart of our life and worship at Quincy Point Congregational Church. We offer a wide variety of music during worship from week to week from classic to contemporary. We are always looking for new people who are interested in making "Joyful Noise Unto God" to join our groups.
QPCC has a Choir, an Adult Praise band and Handbell ensemble. See their descriptions below:
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir sings most Sundays (September-June), as well as at special services. We welcome high school aged youth up to adults who love to sing or think they might. Our professional section leaders help those who may not read music to sing their parts by ear. We also have periodic "Jump-In" Choir Sundays, when anyone and everyone is invited to learn a simple song before church and sing in worship. We believe that worship should be joyful and full of singing by everyone, whatever their perceived abilities, and welcome all people into music making that is spirit filled.
Chancel Choir Practices
The Chancel Choir rehearses two to three Thursdays each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Room at QPCC on the second Floor, which is elevator accessible.
Point Handbell Ringers
The melodious rings and chimes of our handbell ensemble sound in worship every four to six weeks throughout the year (September- June). This ministry began at Quincy Point Congregational Church in the Fall of 2007 and currently consists of eight ringers playing a three octave set of Schulmerich bells. We happily welcome new ringers to join us. If you can count and use your hands, you can play bells!
Point Handbell Practices
Handbell rehearsals are on Thursday Evenings at 6:15 p.m. in the Music Room at QPCC on the second Floor, which is elevator accessible.
CrossRoads
Our in-house praise band, "CrossRoads", originally started as a house band for a church “Rock and Roll fundraiser”. The band has become an active ministry in the church, playing in worship several times a year. CrossRoads focuses on contemporary praise, worship and gospel music. If you play an instrument (guitar, bass, drums, piano, or winds) and would like to join us, please reach out! Our rehearsal schedule varies depending on who is playing.

Quincy Point Congregational Church proudly hosts two wonderful music educational organizations who use space in our building during the week (in addition to the South Shore Camera Club and AA meetings) .
South Shore Piano School was established in 2019. Founded by our church's pianist Dr. Jonathan Roberts, SSPS now has a staff of nine teachers providing high quality private piano instruction to hundreds of students each week in our building.

South Shore Children's Chorus was founded and began rehearsals at Quincy Point in 2016 by Kirsten Oberoi. They now operate in four locations, including ours, with a multi level program enabling kids from K-12 to learn, grow and find their voice!
