At Quincy Point Congregational Church, the ministry of music is at the heart of our life and worship. Since Biblical times, music has given people of faith a channel to lift up praise and prayer to God.  The music we offer in worship is widely varied from week to week: from classical to contemporary; from Bach to Duke Ellington.

We are always looking for new people who are interested in worshiping God through music.  All that is required is a willing heart and a desire to make music to the glory of God.

Whether you last sang in a high school choir thirty years ago, or have never experienced the fellowship and exhilaration of being in a musical ensemble, there is a place for you.

Open to high school aged youth through adult, the Chancel Choir sings most Sundays (September-June.)  The Chancel Choir also sings on special services including Christmas Eve, Good Friday, and the Thanksgiving Ecumenical service with St. Joseph’s Church.  In addition to leading the congregation in hymn singing, they sing a wide variety of choral anthems in a multitude of styles.   The chancel choir rehearses every Sunday morning in the choir room from 8:15-9:45 and is open to anyone who has a love of singing regardless of experience.
The Handbell ringers began as a new music ministry at Quincy Point Congregational Church in the fall of 2007.  In the first year, the ensemble consisted of a two-octave instrument, which was expanded to a three-octave instrument in the fall of 2008.  The ensemble leads worship several Sunday’s throughout the year; most notably during the Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter season.  The bell choir rehearses every Thursday evening (September through June) from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm.

Originally founded as an in house band for a church “rock and roll” fundraiser, the group has become an active ministry in the church.  Evolving from its rock and roll roots, the band now focuses on performing contemporary praise and worship music.  The group leads worship on the second Sunday of every month.
Open to students in Grades 5-12, this ensemble will focus on worshiping God through contemporary worship\praise music.  Rehearsal time is split between small group instruction on an instrument and full band rehearsals.  No experience on a musical instrument is necessary.  The Pointers Rehearse from 11:15-12:00PM most weeks. (September-June)
